Inconspiuous Poster

This is my poster that i produced for our "inconspicuous" opening film. I made it by taking a screenshot of that shot from the film. Then I imported it to photoshop and edited it. If found using photoshop very easy to do. However it was difficult to get pictures from the internet and then import them onto photoshop. This poster will be used to help answer question 5. 

3rd rough cut

This was our 3rd rough cut with differences such as adding an enigma at the end as well as a new character. However there are some changes that need to be made such as the audio and some all the shots with Ben. We only have to make some slight changes though for example all of Ben's shots all we need to do is make sure that he is wearing a shirt. We have to redo the audio as most of it cant be heard.

Group chat

This is a conversion that we had that discussed what we were going to do for our final pice. We discussed that we will use a tracking dolly and that we will have do re-do some of the shot as they were blurry. We also agreed that we would include some dialogue. However, as Be didn't have Facebook we had to contact him by phone to tell him what we were doing and when we were doing it. 

Update 2

This shows what i have done this less on the 2/12/14, which is analysing each pice of work that I have done. it shows that i have been editing my blog as there were some spelling mistakes and punctuation mistakes. 

Comparison

This is a comparison to a real opening film. The sound that is used in this film when compared to our one is very different as it uses various sound effects, which isn't used in out 2 minuet film. However there are some similarities as the nightmare on elm street as there is a point of view shot, however the one that we used is very unsteady. Also like the real media footage there is little to no dialogue in the opening, this is used to build up tension and a bit of mystery.

Update

This shows that I analysing the work that I have done for each task, and talked about hot it will help me for my final product, I have also talked about if there was any implications and how they would be improved.

2nd rough cut

This is the 2nd rough cut. It shows that we have improved upon the old one. However there are still some burley footage so we will have to redo some of the footage. Also some of the footage is unsteady so we will use the tracking dolly for the final footage. We have also decided that the storyline is also unclear so we will have to tell it either through the beginning or in the middle of the footage. Also there is no dialogue in this footage so we have decided to add some dialogue.

Final cut editing 1

This shows the editing process that we made for our 2nd rough cut. This will influence the final product by setting the final product in a similar layout. However we may use some effects to improve upon the quality of the footage.

Soundscape

This shows that type of sounds that will be used in our footage. The layout of the sound scape is based off the storyboard, however as we have had to change the story due to the setting being difficult to find it isn't 100% accurate. However the final footage is of a similar layout.

Garage band editing

This shows the editing process on garage band. It shows the sound track that will be used for our final product. This may be altered in the final footage to suite it more. This will influence the final product as the sound used is fitted for the noir feel.

Final cut editing 2

This shows the editing that has been done for the 2nd rough cut. It shows that we have kept the some layout from the previous rough edit. It also shows that some effects have been used in the footage as mentioned in the previous final cut editing.

Soundscape update

This shows the work that i have done and shows the development of the work. It shows the difference that I have made. It shows the different shots that we used in the footage, however it may change in the final footage.

Rough Edit

This is our rough edit. The footage is quite short and the footage is quite blurry, so the footage will have to be done again. Also from the footage some of the shots are unsteady. This will influence the final product as we will use a tripod for the redo of the footage and try to make the shots in focus.

Storyboard

This is a video of the storyboard. It shows what the scene will look like and talks about what will be done n each scene. However as the story of the 2 minuet film has changed the storyboard may not be what we have done in the storyboard.

Shot list

This is the shot list, it shows the types of shots that will be done in the rough cut. This will influence the final product as it will show the types of shots used and it will show if we have changed the shots used in the final product.

Pitch

This is the pitch for out 2 minute opening film, it shows what the storyline it is and the plot. However due to the difficulty with finding a right location. So the final footage may be different to the pitch.

Call sheet

This is the call sheet, it shows the layout of when and what time we will be shooting and the roles that we will be doing. It also shows the type of clothing that each character will be waring. However the location, has changed as we found it difficult to shoot there and still make it feel and look like a noir film.

Analysis of audience research

This is the analysis of the audience research. This will influence the final product by taking the results of the questionnaire and then use the information to change the final product to suite the needs of the target audience.

Risk assessment

This is the risk assessment, it shows the risks that could take place during shooting. It also shows where the risk might take place. This will influence the final product as we will make sure to take the safety precautions as shown in the risk assessment.

Certificates and Audience

This is the Certificates and audience, it shows the age rating and the types of things that are shown in each of them. It also shows the type of age rating that we will use. This will influence the final product as we will know what type of things that we can include in the footage.

Initial ideas

This is the initial ideas that i have done, it shows the different ideas that i have made for the different areas, which were: genre, characters, setting, music and storyline. This will influence the the final product as it will help decide what we will be filming about and what type of characters will be in it. 

Creating the Logo

This is the creation of the logo. It talks about how it was made and how it was developed as there are more than one logo which are the alternative logos.

Analysis of a noir opening from AlexInkster

This is the analysis of The Untouchables Opening, it shows the type of conventions used in a noir movie. This will influence the final product as it will help us understand what type of shots and sounds are used.

Opening of Alien

This shows the general layout of an opening sequence, i have chosen alien as the example. It shows the layout of how the names should appear and in what order. This will influence the final product as we will use this type of layout for our final product.

Film Distributor analysis

This is the Film distributor analysis, it shows what type of distributors there are and what age ratting of movies they usually distribute. It also shows the popularity of the films that have been distributed by these distributors. This will influence the final product as it will help us decide what distributor to use.

This is the convention research, and it shows the typical themes and characters that are used in the genre that we originally picked, which was a horror noir, however due to filming difficulties and time we had to change the genre to just a noir. These will influence the final product as it will tell us what type of factors will be in our film.

Analysis of opening of Silence of the Lambs

This is an analysis of a horror film, specifically silence of the lambs. I have talked about the sounds and shots that have been used in this opening film. However due to filming difficulties and plot difficulties we have changed the genre to just a noir.
